Pictured are Lewis W. Borland (1906-1959), left, and Weldon Earl Borland (1906-2002), right. Lewis and Weldon were first cousins. Weldon was my great grandfather. He was the son of James Carruthers and Lizzie Alberta (Miller) Borland. Lewis was the son of Charles Oliver and Edith L. Borland. James Crouthen Borland and Charles Oliver Borland were brothers, sons of James and Catherine (Walker) Borland. When the photo was taken, both boys lived in Bowerston, Harrison County, Ohio.

As of January 26th, 2011, Weldon has five great-grandchildren, in order of birth: Samuel Taylor Van Horn (my first cousin), Kevin Borland (myself), Steven Thomas Borland II (my brother), Victoria Marie Borland (my half-second cousin), and Christopher Borland (my half-second cousin). Weldon also has one great-great granson, Miles Casey Van Horn.

Lewis had at least two sons, Lewis and Charles, both of which lived in Akron. I am not currently in touch with that branch of the family.
